This is the story about a journey around Shikoku Island, Japan, in a vehicle called a Bongo Multiwagon following a famous Buddhist pilgrim's path. Our leader was Wild Master, a Japanese priest who I had met on an earlier trip, and he brought with him his friend who owned a wine ship. My contribution to the pilgrimage was a collection of not always saintly Australians who prayed in the day and played in the night.
